Cider Hill Family Orchard
Cider Hill Family Orchard is a farm that’s so gorgeous that many couples use it as a wedding location. The orchard specializes in creating magical days, whether they’re planning a wedding or providing you with fall fun. Their u-pick apple season opens up in August and lasts until November. You can come for hayrides, bonfires, train rides, and, of course, lots of apples. The farm is open yearly for additional crops, including blackberries and pumpkins. While there, you can get some delicious treats, including apple slushes and pulled pork.
Gieringers Family Orchard & Berry Farm
Gieringers Family Orchard & Berry Farm is full of fresh produce you can purchase in their country store, but picking it straight from the vine is way more fun! The farm features many varieties, including pixie crunch, red Honeycrisp, pink lady, and crunch-a-bunch. During the fall, the farm goes all out with themed activities such as corn mazes and apple slingshots. You can pack a lunch and enjoy it at the shaded picnic tables. Over the weekends, they bring food trucks with options from the city.
Taylor Family Orchard
Taylor Family Orchard is a farm located in Liberty, Missouri. The U-pick destination has acres of crops, including peaches, blackberries, raspberries, and apples. During the week, the farm is a favorite field trip spot for students wanting to experience farm life (and adorable animals!) up close. Over the weekend, the farm opens to the public and allows you to pick your own produce. You’ll find golden delicious, freedom, Mutsu, and red Rome.
Alldredge Orchards
Alldredge Orchards is one of the best farms around for younger visitors. The orchards provide acres of trees with different varieties that ripen throughout September and October. Before you head out to the fields, you can stop by the barnyard to visit the animals, head into the shop for some sweet treats, or have an adventure in the play area. The orchards have a mega slide as well as trains and hayrides. They’re dog-friendly and serve lunch over the weekend.
