Words cannot express my excitement for Lilly and Peter’s engagement. I have been so lucky to have Lilly as a little sister (while it may be in-law, it sure doesn’t seem like it!) and it has been so fun to watch her grow up over the years. These two have the sweetest little love story…both from Kansas City (as in they both grew up literally 1 mile from each other) but meeting in Chicago through mutual, non-Kansas City friends. Their first date was, appropriately, to watch the Kansas City Chiefs game, and thank goodness the Chiefs won because the rest is history!
What is also sweet is the love these two have for Roosevelt the Bernadoodle (aka: the “Dood”). He has been a part of this little family from nearly the beginning so, of course, he had to play an important role in their engagement photos. We explored some of Roosevelt’s stomping grounds in Lincoln Park during a beautiful summer sunrise to capture these images. I know I speak for myself and Roosevelt alike when I say that April can’t come soon enough when Lilly and Peter officially tie the knot!!
