Shawnee Town Museum also hosts special events throughout the year. Jammin’ on the Green is a free concert series with snacks and water provided. Guests can bring their chairs or sit on benches and enjoy evening performances. Dog Days of Summer is a fun event where visitors can bring their dogs and enjoy food trucks, music, contests, raffle prizes, and splash pools.
Clear Creek Trail

Clear Creek Trail in Shawnee is a beautiful walking or biking trail for visitors. This trail is approximately 3.5 miles long and starts at Route 7, running east to meet the Gary Haller Trail. This trail is concrete paved all the way through and contains beautiful views of the creek. Additionally, birds abound on certain trail sections, including areas that go through Gamblin Park.
This 3.5-mile trail is located near Shawnee Mission in Kansas and is considered an easy route. Moreover, this trail is excellent for walking and is usually not crowded. The Clear Creek Trail is also ideal for walking, biking, or hiking and is an easy difficulty level.
